Just stopped to waste an hour or too before going to Lascaux and wow! Such a brilliant place better than our Lascaux experience! The castle was fascinating and all the furnishings and info was great. They even supplied an English tour book to help (which Lascaux lacked). And they had a visiting torture exhibition which by 8yr old loved!

Would really recommend you stop here if have spare hour+ and if you don't you should make time!!

Stayed here for one night in the middle of October. We ended up being the only guests in the hotel that night since it was their off season and it was a weekday. Kind of creepy having an entire 18th century chateau to ourselves but a great experience and great story to tell! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We had a delicious private dinner and would recommend eating there to spend more time enjoying the chateau. We stayed in the Marquis de Dupleix room. Very clean with bathroom as large as the room. Bathroom was freezing though since it is in the tower but space heaters are provided. Overall would highly recommend Chateau de Reignac! Great location, great rooms, and great staff!

Stayed here for a few days to see the Chateaux in the Loire Valley and, while the room was nice, I was very surprised to learn that one could have no food or drink in it. I found it outrageous that they expected guests to go to the "bar" for a glass of wine or a drink, rather than have a drink in their own room. Since it only has 13 rooms and when I was there there were few staff and few clients, it was sometimes hard to even find anyone from whom to get a drink. Given that they have this "rule", they should have told me beforehand so I could have booked elsewhere.

Located in beautiful French village of Reignac-sur-Indre this chateau has an interesting history. We slept in the bedroom of the Marquis de Lafayette with outdoor balcony overlooking the expansive front garden. A large room with comfortable king size bed, high ceiling, period furniture and furnishings. Large bathroom with huge bathtub and separate shower. Complimentary wifi in room. Please note checkin is from 4.30pm. Had dinner one evening and breakfast one morning. Food was very ordinary - no choice for dinner - meal was set. Breakfast was 16 eur per person - basic continental - cold meats, cereal, yoghurt, cheese, bread, juice. It was convenient at the time but may not suit everyone. Staff helpful. Chateau gardens amazing but strange rules as mentioned in previous reviews - no food or drinks permitted onsite - no picnics allowed. Still we enjoyed our stay.

Looks beautiful doesn't it but very pretentious as are most French Château's. We arrived early evening to find the place locked up and only after phoning were we allowed in. The room was up in the roof and the lift could take you up to the second floor but after that it was a winding narrow wooden staircase to the room with no offer of help with the cases. The room was clean and spacious if a little basic and the continental breakfast okay but an expensive extra cost. Reading through the long list of rules and regulations in the room the one that caught my eye was, " It is absolutely forbidden to bring any beverages or food or picnics into the rooms ", this from the hotel that charged us about £160 per night for bed only and nearly £200 with breakfast but couldn't provide tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Overall I think that if you want to say to your friends that you stayed in a genuine Chateau and have the pics to prove it then okay but you would be more comfortable and better off if you stayed in a 4 star hotel.
