We have the great pleasure to work with Christian and Azzurra twice now on different trips to Italy over the past three years. I can highly recommend them if what you are looking for is a personalized, intimate, and stress-free experience where you can explore Florence and some of Tuscany's smaller, more authentic towns. Christian and Azzurra both took the time to learn about us as individuals and then crafted a private tour that perfectly reflects our interests, priorities and pace. For my family this meant sampling incredible Tuscan cuisine in a places that only the locals know about and visiting family-owned wineries for tastings. More than just the usual tasting experience, they introduced to the people who owned the land, and who proudly shared what it took to produce the wine or olive oil and what it meant to them. We felt like we were traveling with long-time friends or family members when they introduced us to some of the most beautiful medieval towns in Tuscany like Florence, Siena, or the "city of beautiful towers", San Gimignano." Along the way they open your eyes to the heart and soul of the people in this region, the features of the countryside, the history and traditions, and regional specialties. The hotels they recommended were all first-class and comfortable and were perfectly located so that we were close to the must-see sights and yet away from the street noise and bustle.

We were a party of 8 who had planned a day with this husband and wife company in advance of our 3 day stay in Florence, after a 11 day cruise out of Rome. After the cruise we decided we had had so many tours we needed some down time and called 2 days before our scheduled tour and asked if we could shorten our day. Azzurra was very kind and understanding, and said it was no problem. She lowered our price as well.
Azzurra showed up with a very nice vehicle for us and couldn't have been nicer showing us the beautiful Tuscan countryside. She took us to an awesome small town, where we had about an hour to shop and get coffee. Then our next, and last, stop was a fabulous small family winery, where we had a tour and then a wonderful 5 course lunch, with lots of wine to go with it, overlooking the gorgeous Tuscan hills. We bought some wine to be sent home. You can't go wrong with this company! They were so easy to work with and Azzurra was just a delight to spend time with.

Lovely day out in Chianti. Visited the market in Greve with local artisans and an amazing Bistro/Butcher, Macelleria Falorni where we sampled a wonderful cheese and salami plate.

Afterward we toured two wineries, the first was Vallone di Cecione. Great views of the hills along with some Chianti wines. Several us us shipped cases home. A family winery in a beautiful setting. The tasting was in a private cottage with cheeses, Mortadella and olives. We had a multiple course, delicious lunch at Altiero Winery with Chianti tastings and homemade jams and sauces. The olive oil was just starting production. We also shipped cases home from Altiero.

Christian was very knowledgeable about the wines and history of Chianti and fun! I highly recommend Viaggi D'Ambra

Our family took a wine tour with Christian in the Chianti region - we visited two wineries and visited two small towns during the tour. We ate a delicious homemade lunch at the second winery. The wine tastings were very informative and personal. Christian provided so much information along the way not only on the Tuscany region but also in our conversation on a personal level. He was awesome and recommend him highly.

Great personal tour! Azzurra took us to two wineries and charming small cities in Chianti country (between Florence and Siena) and then southern Tuscany (Siena to Montepulciano) for “Under the Tuscan Sun” beauty and a modern winery the second day. Great guide showed us boutique family owned wineries and suggested clear lovely walks for us to explore medieval towns. Loved the personal attention, flexibility and ability to have deep discussions with an Italian! She didn’t get in the way and gave us the chance to enjoy dining and exploring things privately. Early October is great time to visit, cooler weather and smaller crowds!
