We live down the street from Silvia and were excited to see a good restaurant open up in this location. Had our first meal there as a family last night. The service was very good, and our appetizers (mussels, heirloom tomato salad and roasted garlic with bread) were all delicious. The only problem came after the appetizers, when a couple of large parties arrived and the kitchen got backed up. We waited about 45 minutes for our entrees, and my daughter started getting cold and unhappy. To the restaurant's credit, the staff was aware we were waiting and we got two apologies. When the food finally arrived (Arctic char, Moroccan chicken, Korean Bibimbap and the Silvia burger), it was wonderful. This is a really promising restaurant, they just need to make sure the kitchen can deal with a capacity crowd, because once word gets around it could easily be full every Saturday night.
