We spent five days in Beaufort and stayed at the Beaufort Inn. It was nice- the front desk people were very pleasant and helpful. The room's balcony overlooked the water and it was fun to see the boats going in and out. The Beaufort waterfront shops and restaurants were a short walk. Two slight negative points- the hot tub seemed to be closed more than it was open, and the breakfast was just so-so.
