We stayed here for an anniversary trip and had a great time. We reserved the Artist's Loft, which was basically the entire top floor of the home. It was accessed through a staircase which had a really unique horizontal door in the floor of the room. It was very spacious and was an amazing experience. The home has no air-conditioning, and we visited when it was still hot, so that was a consideration, but with open windows and ceiling fans, we really didn't have an issue. Breakfast the next morning was simple, but very good and like most B&Bs, we had a chance to meet some great people also visiting. We will definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend it.

We made a short 1 night visit to Black Mountain and stayed at this Inn.
This was our second visit. Beautiful old home with lots of history.
We stayed in the Loft, neat trap door for privacy!
We even took our 2 dogs.
Excellent breakfast and June, the owner is a great hostess.
Look forward to our next visit.

One of the main reasons I chose this location was because I could stay for only one night - many places require you to stay at least two. Supposedly "haunted," this is a super cool place for folks who enjoy the mystery inherent with "old stuff." We stayed in the Peter room. Not a lot to write home about - small, no TV, just the basics, but cozy and comfy. Breakfast was home-cooked and delicious; the lady of the house was super sweet. I opted for a 90 minute massage before heading out the next morning and that was a real treat. Would definitely visit again.

My husband and I were visiting Asheville for a long weekend and wanted to stay in a B&B but didn't want to pay the higher price for a room closer to Asheville. The Black Mountain Inn was the perfect choice! A short drive to downtown Asheville, this B&B is a charming mountain inn with beautifully decorated rooms that take you back in time. The weather was cool that weekend and we snuggled into the comfy bed and woke to chilly morning mountain air. Our room was the Beverly. The furnishings were beautiful antiques and the plumbing was old but in great working order! We were served delicious warm breakfasts in the wood-paneled dining room downstairs. The Innkeeper, June, is a wonderful cook and a courteous hostess. We felt very welcome and comfortable here. We would definitely return to the Black Mountain Inn and would recommend it to friends and family!

Room Tip: We loved our room, the Beverly, but the 3rd floor suite looks amazing!
