We ate breakfast at Louise's Kitchen on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The place was very busy and we only waited about 10 minutes for a table. Make sure to order your food when you arrive because you can't sit down until you have a ticket.

Eat the grit cakes! They are awesome.

Every time I go I'm always stuck with the BigBoy burrito, doesn't matter what time I get there, its my favorite breakfast or lunch. Awesome friendly atmosphere, great people, always cozy and friendly.

Stopped in for a breakfast and enjoyed it. Ordered the big boy burrito. Was very good.

Cool little vibe to the place. It's an old converted house thus very compartmentalized dinning rooms. You order at the front and sit where you like. Cool old soul music was playing...

Enjoyed it.

This is righteous breakfast food! My partner had the French Toast and I had the Big Boy Burrito. Wow! That Burrito was dynamite! It was so flavorful, chock full of eggs, potatoes, sausage, diced peppers. I typically spice up a dish like this, no need this time. It was perfectly flavored, with the perfect size for a breakfast meal at lunchtime.

The challah bread french toast was delicious with the confectioner's sugar and maple syrup to sweeten up the dish.

The dining spaces are located in the downstairs rooms which are decorated by paintings and art work by local artists. One unique aspect of the restaurant (hint for first time visitors), you place your order at the counter in front of the kitchen prior to taking a seat. Both menus (lunch and breakfast) were available at breakfast.

This restaurant is now on our must return to list!

This was one of three restaurants recommended by the Black Mt. visitor center, when I asked, "Where do the locals go for breakfast?" I was looking for a place with good regional food and ambiance. Louise's filled the bill to a tee! A big, old Victorian with the restaurant occupying the ground floor, and surrounding porch for sheltered, outdoor seating. Eggs and bacon were as expected but the "multigrain" toast and grits were something special.
