We attended a car club event here, over a four day period. I was very impressed with the food at every evening's reception and buffet dinners. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but does cater for groups. Breakfast (included with the room) was delicious every morning with both hot and cold choices, including some interesting items like apple pancakes and spinach souffle. The venue is spacious for a large group, and the kitchen can handle it, with perfectly cooked wonderful appetizers on one evening, followed by fabulous buffet meals for breakfast and dinner the other days. Appetizers included tender, perfectly cooked shrimp and grits served in champagne glasses (and they must have made 100), crispy chicken and waffle bites, barbecue sliders, crudite tray, and fried green tomatoes with pimento. German night had pork schnitzel and cod with mustard cream sauce, with warm tricolor potato salad, green beans and cabbage. Awards dinner had tender flank steak (both rare and well done slices) with feta cheese and crispy onions, perfectly grilled salmon, fresh green salad and steamed veggies. Service was accommodating, and gracious. Some participants did complain that the air conditioner was loud in their room. They do need to clean their pond and stream where the ducks are raising a family. The water has a brackish smell.More
