These rustic yet modern cabins are absolutely wonderful!!! The spring that runs near the cabins only adds to the relaxing views and sounds of the area. The cabins are well maintained and appointed, offering modern touches, such as cable television and wifi. Only a short distance from Asheville, NC. I would recommend these cabins to anyone.

We just left Mountain Springs for what was our second stay this year. Back in July, we spent a week in the Firefly, and we just stayed four days in the Lodge House with my in-laws...both trips were wonderful. The cabins are clean and well-appointed with most everything one needs for comfort. The Firefly was perfect for our family of four, and the kids loved the two full beds in the loft. It was their own little space for the week, and they adored it. The deck overlooking the creek is beyond perfect. I spent every morning and evening on that deck enjoying the sounds of the rushing water and the peacefulness of the outdoors. Every night, we slept with the windows open, and every morning, we could hear the light crow of a rooster off in the distance and the cows mooing on the farm next door. The kids also loved the playground, the large field, and tubing in the creek during the day. We all enjoyed the fire pit area by the creek with the hanging lights...it’s so magical at night. We utilized the grill and picnic table by the cabin for evening meals, and found everything to be in working order. The kids were also big fans of the three sweet kitties that live on the property. Kate was so very helpful with assisting us in finding kid-friendly hikes and sightseeing excursions. Her tips were all spot-on. The concierge book in the cabin is also a great touch, and we used it to find everything from food to day trips.

After telling my in-laws about our fantastic experience, they booked the Lodge House for a long fall weekend. There was plenty of room for everyone, and even though I missed being right by the creek, the screened-in porch was lovely, and the built-in bunk beds were a treasure for the kids. Since this cabin is dog-friendly, we brought our labradoodle on this trip, and my in-laws brought their shi-poo, and that all worked out perfectly as well (there is an additional fee for dogs). We bought tickets to Biltmore from the office, and once again, Kate was a great help in giving us helpful ideas. The resort is centrally located between the city and other outdoor mountain activities, and we didn’t have any trouble getting from here to there. I would definitely come back to Mountain Springs. It’s well worth the 6 1/2 drive from southeastern Virginia for a serene family weekend in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

Located outside of Asheville, this is a nice quiet place to come to relax. Nice cabins located next to a babbling stream, nice open area for activities such as volleyball or play area for the kids. They also have Yurts and tiny houses. What I liked most was the wooden screen door on the cabin that made that sound from my childhood Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville and other areas. If your looking for quiet and nice accommodations this is the place

First time we've stayed at Mountain Springs Cabins and we'll definitely be back. We'll probably bring friends and rent a couple cabins next time. I expected bugs & bad water pressure and no Wi-Fi...etc, however none of that happened. Be sure to bring your charcoal and plan on grilling out every night with a cocktail or two...It's really a special place!

Room Tip: They're all good rooms.

It has always been a dream of mine to stay in a yurt, so we rented one from Mountain Springs Cabins for our trip to Asheville, NC. The yurt itself was very comfortable and spacious--our family of five fit perfectly, and we enjoyed not only our evenings there but also took advantage of the rental games and equipment. We also had some difficulties upon check-in, but Kate, the general manager, was wonderful and helpful, and even waved the fee for our first night :))
However. While our sleeping arrangement was wonderful, the short trek to the bathhouse was through perpetually wet grass. This, along with the lack of ventilation, made our private bathhouse pretty gross about halfway through our five-night stay. A few simple additions--a foot path to the bathrooms and an option to pay for cleaning--would resolve these issues.
Beautiful and quiet location a short drive away from Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and many state parks. If we return, we would probably stay in cabin with our bathroom attached.
