This hotel is in great condition, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are comfortable. The rooms are large and have a pull out sofa. We traveled with our grown children and this is a great amenity. Would recommend.

While relocating to NC, our extended stay here has been extraordinary! James and his entire staff have been more than accommodating to all of my family’s needs. They’ve been very welcoming and would recommend visiting the Hyatt Place Chapel Hill/Southern Village to anyone searching for an A+ hotel.

I was in town for a wedding and spent two nights. I had stayed at a Hyatt Place in NJ that was wonderful and I had high expectations in Chapel Hill. This location did not disappoint. The King room and bathroom were spacious and the shower rain head had fantastic water pressure. The $99 wedding rate was a huge value. I also was able to find a beautiful trail and meadow to explore nearby. Two BIG thumbs up for Hyatt Place!

Quiet, clean and the staff was very accommodating. I needed to extend my stay by one day and it was as simple as a phone call to the front desk. Check out was a breeze online.
My service dog enjoyed her stay too!

This remains my "go to" when I spend time in Chapel Hill. It is reasonably priced and the staff is excellent. The hotel has everything necessary for a short or long stay. I have done both and would recommend it without hesitation.

We (couple) stayed to visit our kids and grandchild in Chapel Hill for a week. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The COVID considerations were done well with all employees masking and avoiding contact, breakfast was grab and go, and signs told guests to wear masks, which they almost always did, but not everyone. With a pet, it was a great experience. Floor 3 opens to street level (behind hotel) with a great dog walking area. The room was spacious and comfortable.
