This is for Hampton Inn Chapel-hill NC. I was charged for another persons room and called Ebony this morning to tell her what had happened. The gentlemen in from of us checking in had a hard time using the credit card machine. When we checked out on 9/28 I questioned the lady as to why I had three pending charges from Hampton Inn. I was told there must have been a mistake and two of the pending charges would fall off the visa. Well only one charge fell off and both the other charges were posted to the credit card. So I called Monday because I had to speak to a manager (Ebony) about the charges on my credit card. She was rude and very disrespectful and kept telling me it was the banks fault etc etc. She told me that someone else would never be charged for another persons room…. this was a lie. She was not listening to anything I said and refused to even believe me. After 28 minutes of this banter I asked to speak to someone else. The next manager came on the phone and ran our credit card number and saw there was the additional charge for the guy that checked in before us, literally like I had been saying all along. I work in customer service everyday and would never treat anyone with the amount of disrespect Ebony showed me this morning, totally unprofessional and completely disrespectful on every level.I’m still upset about it 6 hours later. So no I will never ever stay at this hotel again and will let everyone know how we were charged for someone else’s room as well until my dying breath.
