First, the good... I stayed here a year ago when moving to the area and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate me and my pets when we moved out here a year ago and had to make several last-minute changes to our room reservations. They also were helpful when I arrived then with COVID and needed to quarantine and be at the hotel longer than expected.
We recently stayed there again almost exactly a year later while having some flooring work done at our house. For whatever reason, the level of friendliness, helpfulness, and professionalism of the staff was considerably less this time. They weren't bad, just adequate and nothing more and showed no real level of interest in us personally as guests. The main issue we had though was what prompted my two star review - on our last night there, while my disabled partner was showering around 11 p.m., a considerable amount of water escaped from the shower area and flooded the bathroom and front hallway floors. We were in an ADA room with a roll-in shower which enabled more of the water to escape the shower than might typically occur. There is a drain in the middle of the bathroom floor that should've taken care of this, but it was clogged and was only slowly draining, leading to the flooding situation. When I called down to the front desk to ask for help cleaning it up, I was told by the person there that he was the only one on duty and couldn't leave the desk for very long. So instead he brought up a mop and wished me luck. As a result, I had to spend quite a while late at night mopping up a substantial amount of water from those areas. Needless to say, I wasn't happy about having to become an impromptu unpaid maintenance worker to clean up a mess that occurred due to their lack of proper maintenance of their facility. I only wonder what they would've done if a disabled person had been staying in the room alone and had this happen. Over the past 10 days I've left two messages with the manager and have received no call back.
