This is an older property that has been refurbished and is greatly inferior to other properties. The air conditioner in our unit sounded like a base drum all night. Paper thin walls. Non-responsive staff. You have way too many options in the Asheville area to waste your money on this property.

My wife and I stopped here for the evening to break up a long road trip and were generally happy with our stay. Some observations:

- service was welcoming
- room was a bit small, with a built-in desk/chair under the TV, but there was no room for a sofa-chair/reading lamp.
- room was clean but my wife found/killed a silverfish bug in the bathroom
- bed/pillows were comfortable, but room was not quiet. People on the floor above us were either renovating or plain inconsiderate from midnight to 1 AM.
- included “take-away” breakfast is thin but adequate.
- we were surprised to see an unusually large gym and indoor pool here, and both are in great shape, so if you have the time and can use one or both of these, they might tip you to choose this place over others.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The experience was exceptional from check in to check out. We needed additional towels and got them promptly. The room was clean, beds were very comfortable, and we felt very welcomed. The breakfast options were minimal and nothing we needed, but this was only because of covid. The location was so easy to get around to all things Asheville/Blue Ridge Parkway! I wish every Fairfield were this wonderful. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here the night we got into NC and then the night before we left. My parents were also there in July. They left early bc it was filthy and went to courtyard down the street. I didn’t realize it was the same hotel they had a bad experience in or We would have switched as well. The shower was disgusting and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while, someone else’s hair was on the desk and the carpets weren’t vacuumed well. Also, the fitness center was closed. It’s the first Marriott that has had it closed in our extensive travels. As a very frequent Marriott guest, it was very disappointing.

If you like a clean hotel this is not the one for you. Got there at 1am was shown 2 rooms and I just couldn’t stay here. There was something brown on the toilet seat, the bathtub/shower showed stains that couldn’t be removed and the carpet was worn and dirty.
