Great Weekend

Last minute getaway. Decided to travel to visit parents and Surprise them for the weekend. Tucked right off the interstate we found this hotel located right off 85 south and 321. Check-in was a breeze and so friendly. Room was recently renovated and I have to say they are truly beautiful. I am so in love with the bathroom light and the counter top that I have emailed the GM to find out where I can purchase them for my home. As a frequent traveler I will give this property a SOLID 5 stars, clean and fresh smelling room, Bright lighted bathroom and OVER THE TOP Hospitality from the Staff. Kudos to the Management team and the Staff !! Making this a future stop for sure on my travels to visit parents.

noisey!

On my recent trip to pt Canaveral to take a cruise, I yesterday wrote about a Holiday Inn that was quiet. Today it is the opposite. The Holiday Inn Express in Gastonia North Carolina is perhaps the loudest hotel I have ever stayed in. If you are not a sound sleeper, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! I was given room 403 and found the traffic noise from I-85 was unbearable. They graciously changed me to room 426 which was fine until I retired for the night. Sirens, traffic noise from the street, trucks backing up with their warning beeps, continued pretty much throughout the night. On top of that, the walls are thin, lots of conversation from the room next door. To make matters worse, some idiot had set the clock radio to go off at midnight. I will not be back.

Room tip: I don't think there is a quiet room in the place.

Good hotel - lousy pool hours

Booked this hotel a distance from my destination specifically because they had a pool and wanted to go in the evening. Pool closes at 9?? Couldn’t go because it closed so early. And it doesn’t open until 10, so no early morning swim before checkout. Huge bummer. Had I known the hours, I would not have booked this hotel. Very disappointed.

BED BUGS!!!

My whole family woke up itching! My 6 month old baby had bites all over her head and hands. She had little black dots in her hair. EVERYTHING is broken -the ice machine, the pool, the toilet seat, the bathtub stopper etc. There was black mold everywhere!! There was pubic hairs on the tub. This place is a tear down and should not even be open for business! The breakfast was ok not great. The employees smelled like cigarettes. There was no one at the front desk several times when we came downstairs. There was always a hotel employee smoking outfront the hotel. This place was truly terrible and not worth the money. I asked for a refund when I first got there and realized the pool was broken and I was told no refund. Terrible customer service.

Well worn, average HIE that needs a remodel

Rest stop on way to ATL. Room was clean but well worn carpets, furniture, and fixtures. First floor room across from laundry was noisy. Kind of hard to find the parking lot up a hill with little signage. Drive downtown 10 min to Webb Custom Kitchen - awesome !
