The Holiday Inn Express in Charlotte-West Gastonia did not have any rooms available when we stopped the night after Thanksgiving. The desk clerk was extremely helpful and called the Holiday Inn Express in the next city up to see if they had any vacancies.

Location seemed a little sketchy and accessibility was awkward. Cleanliness was average at best. Service was polite and excellent. Seemed dated compared to most HI Express experiences. Pricepoint was reasonable.

I was in Gastonia for one night. The concierge reps were extremely polite. My room was clean. I slept good. I would definitely stay again if ever I need to. Thanks Holiday Inn Express; keep up the great work!

First room given was occupied, that’s embarrassing. Second room given didn’t match keys, so we could not access when we came back from dinner. Once we finally got access to room, the AC didn’t work. Not good in NC in July. Was told no other rooms available and no mechanic on site to look at AC. I am a gold elite member for IHG properties, but avoid this one at all costs.

Was nice from the parking lot and the staff seemed nice. Room had a few dated items. But overall ok. Think a swingers group had booked the place and I thought it was fun. Got to see some intriguing stuff. My gf got into it and met a nice lady at the desk and talked her in something that she had never tried
