We read the reviews and were looking for a place to stay because of Hurricane Mathews. This was one of the few places after a long drive from Myrtle Beach and they were very kind to us. There was no frig or microwave in room and they need to know which rooms have them. There was no noise that night, room was clean, NO ROACHES, poor WiFi, but a cheap stay. The air conditioning is VERY noisy!

We checked in and were given a room next to a room with a party going on. There were about 6 -8 guys drinking and "partying" outside our room door. Loud music went on for hours! When we went to the office to complain after midnight, the clerk at the counter walked down to the party and told them we were complaining about them having a good time!!! Appalling. We were finally moved to a room that had a smoke detector going off all night.

Stay at the red carpet inn for 3 nights, at first glance it was an older building. But the room was big and has lots of space to keep you comfortable. Great to park your car in front of your room so you don't have to carry luggage up and down. Dint see any roaches or bugs like what other people are saying. Will stay again.

This used to be a decent place, but it has gone way down hill. Even when the condition of the inn was better, there were some "dealings" going on in the parking lot, and someone called my room, asking if I wanted some company. For a better room and a safer stay, go next door to the Motel 6 and get a room on the back side with a view of the Red Carpet Inn and its parking lot. You will be entertained.

Room tip: Run, do not walk, to another inn.

Terrible experience, booked on Expedia quickly to find a place to stop for the night. There were shady people all around, the lobby was stinky...almost left and then decided we would just crash out and hit the road. We requested. Non smoking room but the room smelt like someone just smoked inside, no shampoo, broken lock on the door (looked like it had been kicked in..a few times). Pulled the cover off the bed and there it was...bodily fluid all over the bed and it looked wet ...I decided that was way too much ...I am still working on a refund! I left 10min after arriving and stayed a hotel close by. They gave a run around that I had to speak to a manager but only at 7am...I called the next morning and the manager said he would call me back because there was a fire in one of the rooms!!!
