Buying fresh fish from local fishermen to cook for dinner has become one of the highlights of our Outer Banks vacations ever since we discovered Risky Business. Everything is fresh and local (or clearly marked if "imported" from Virginia as the flounder was the last time we were there). It's all so good, the service is friendly, and we only stopped there one time (buying fresh mahi to take back to cook and storing it in a cooler we'd brought along for that purpose) because we were staying on Ocracoke rather than in Hatteras - but swung by Risky Business on our return to bring dinner home, even though Ocracoke also has a very good place selling fresh local seafood (the Ocracoke Seafood Company) which no doubt would have done as well, but Risky Business was our first love. Highly recommended!

We go here every year during our visit to Hatteras. We always get the shrimp and have them steam it there. Delicious and super fresh! And they are always so nice! We also tried the crab spread that was already prepared, it was great on crackers topped with a steamed shrimp and some cocktail sauce. Highly recommend!

Place is great.. always fresh and always has a nice selection...I recommend a daily visit. You won't be disappointed...

Superb assortment of fresh fish and shrimp. We always go but after very disappointing restaurant meals have never gone wrong Perch, tuna, shrimp. Prepare at home and gourmet!

Excellent as always. We’ve been coming back for the past 5 years now. Best fresh seafood. Excellent steamed shrimp and the seasoning is awesome. Every year we buy enough of their seasoning to take home. Their service is superb year after year. We always buy raw oysters and steamed shrimp and eat it out on the picnic tables outside and watch the boats dock and launch.
