Our second visit was even better than our first. Breakfast every morning was amazing, and we had a perfectly prepared dinner one night as well. We stayed in Spruce this time and LOVED it. The views were amazing, and having another window in the bathroom allowed for a nice cool cross breeze all night. We even had to put extra blankets on the bed because it was so cool in July! Can't wait to return!!!

Thank you so much for your review. It was absolutely wonderful to have you both back for a birthday celebration! We are so pleased that you enjoyed Spruce and I will pass on your kind words about breakfast and dinner at Fire + Water to Chef Mathew and the rest of the staff. We look forward to having the privilege of welcoming you back to Fire Mountain on your next visit!

We loved the view from our room, and the terrace during breakfast and dinner. The food was excellent. We really enjoyed our hosts and the intimate social gathering for a special dinner.
Hosts should include information about NO AIR Conditioning and gravel roads in the upfront information package. We identified the no ac in the final paperwork, but never saw anything about the gravel roads. No ac in July even in the mountains makes you think of camping. Spoiled I know!

My husband and I stayed at Fire Mountain about a month ago for a weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was perfect! We will definitely be going back in the future. Before we even left we were already talking about when we could return. We stayed in one of the cabins and it was really clean. We were even able to bring our dog, which was special because she normally doesn’t get to go on trips with us. We liked the extra privacy of the cabins. However, it is a quick walk up to the main inn, restaurant and spa. Speaking of the restaurant…the food is delicious!! Seriously! I read so many reviews before our trip raving over breakfast so we added it for both mornings we were there (if you stay in the inn I believe breakfast is included with your stay). It did not disappoint and was well worth it! We also had dinner there one night and that was great too! Matthew is quite the chef! After dinner we leisurely walked back to our cabin - wine glass in hand - enjoying the beautiful views. The staff was so friendly. Hiram and Matthew are just the best! It is clear they sincerely care about their guests and want to ensure you have the best stay possible. I also had a massage while we were there and it was great. The view from Air Spa is beautiful and it was a nice change from the usual standard dark room with no windows for most massages.

We drove into the Highlands a few times over the weekend and enjoyed walking around but were always glad to come back to Fire Mountain for the evening. It’s truly so peaceful there. Matthew and Hiram have done a great job creating a nice little escape. No alarms, no TV, no loud noises, etc. made for a very relaxing time.

Thank you so much for your review! It was so wonderful to have you, your husband, and Sam here to celebrate your 7 year anniversary! It was truly a pleasure to host you both. From the sound of your review, it seems you really got the full Fire Mountain experience.. a gourmet breakfast, a massage at Air Spa, and dinner at Fire + Water! I will pass on your compliments to Chef Mathew and the rest of the staff. We are overjoyed that you are planning to come back. It will be a privilege to have you. - Whitney

My husband and I spent two nights here in the Red Thunder room. The views were amazing. We enjoyed watching the fog roll across the mountains from our deck while reading and enjoying the fresh fruit left for us. The design of the Inn is very peaceful and calm, yet there is something interesting to look at in all of the spaces. I enjoyed the art collection immensely. We ate dinner one night at the Inn restaurant and it was very fresh and tasty. Breakfast each morning was a treat; sitting outside on the patio next to the water feature looking at the mountains. Hiram and Mathew were just a pleasure to speak with - perfect hosts. We can't wait to get back!

If you’re interested enough in Fire Mountain Inn that you’re reading reviews, my advice is to book a few nights there right now. My wife and I just returned from two absolutely perfect nights there, and we can’t stop raving about our experience. The views are stunning and ever-changing, the service is impeccable, and the peace and serenity are rejuvenating. Hiram and Matthew are warm and attentive hosts, striking the perfect balance between giving us space and doting on us. We took advantage of their extensive knowledge of the area to plan two perfect days’ worth of outings that included hiking, great food, art and plenty of waterfalls. I strongly recommend that you have dinner at Fire and Water on your first night there. We did so, and not only was the food perfect, but we also loved getting to meet Hiram and Matthew and truly feel like we were part of the whole place. We enjoyed cocktails on the deck with stunning sunset views and it was fun meeting other guests. Another real treat here is the breakfast. It’s perfectly prepared and presented, simple and delicious, and it’s a wonderful way to start your day and plan for the adventures ahead.

We felt spoiled the entire time we were there, and we’re totally confident that you will too. On our last morning at the inn, we mentioned to Hiram that our plans weren’t quite settled for the day, and Hiram immediately said “please let us know what we can do to support you.” This is, I think, such a perfect quote to sum up our truly wonderful visit. We look forward to the day we can return.
