We stayed in Moondance and loved our cabin with all the sweet personal touches that Rebecca and Tom (who are so friendly and nice!) made. The mountain stream running beside and in front of our cabin was a highlight. We also enjoyed the firepit in front of the stream. They even have a hot tub on the porch! Heaven. Hiking options are many and wonderful on the cabin grounds and surrounding area. Max Patch was gorgeous. The Lovers Leap Trail was a challenge and worth it! All in all it was one of our favorite vacations.

We loved our Sundance cabin, we loved being in the middle of nature... we loved the 3 hikes we took, to the waterfall, to the Labyrinth and to Max Patch...we even loved our drive from Asheville to Dancing Sun Cabins. It was absolutely beautiful there in the mountains. Stopping at the Trust General Store and Cafe is a must. We also took a ride to Hot Springs and experienced some of the local charm. Rocky Mountain Diner was great! Our's was a short visit and I would love to come for a longer visit!

Room tip: There are pictures of the 4 cabins on their website that will help.

This is the second year that my sweetheart and I have gone to the Sundance cabin for our vacation. It’s amazing every single time. The cabin is comfortable to the point of almost being luxurious. The grounds are gorgeous and the owners are so kind and accommodating. I would recommend this peaceful, beautiful location to anyone. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. The hot tub under the stars was the best part!

We stayed for 2 nights in the star dance cabin, great location on a beautiful piece of property. The property has many trails to hike and enjoy. The owners are a very nice couple who you can tell care about their guests. Make sure you go out at night and look at the star, all I can say is WOW.

We stayed in the Stardance cabin. It overlooked the a stream that flowed out of the mountain. The porch swing was great for relaxing, looking and listening to it. We ate several meals on the porch at the table enjoying the brook and the sounds of nature all around us. The Hot Tub was awesome to sit in after hiking trips to Max Patch and several Waterfalls. The water in the Hot Tub, and the shower as well, was natural mineral water and you could tell the difference after getting out. No need to spend the extra money at Hot Springs for their tubs! The cabin itself was big enough to enjoy each other, but not too big. The kitchen had all we needed for preparing the meals we did eat there. There was a book in the cabin of things to do around the area that was very helpful. We took 2 adventures in the book that we had no planned on; Max Patch (WELL WORTH THE TRIP) and we went to Chataloochee to see the Elk. (go here in the morning to see the Elk). Dancing Sun is definitely off the beaten path. Another fun part is the ride to Dancing Sun (either way) It is a beautiful WINDING road through the mountain. We even made it to Gatlinburg for the day with no trouble, (1.5 hour drive) We look forward to renting again for another get away. Could use a new mattress on the bed....
