Tip: When you get to the address (Via L. Capuana 28), don't think you're at the wrong place since there's nothing there that seems like a hotel. You're at the right place. Knock on the door or ring the bell (can't remember if I saw one) and the owner will let you in (if he hasn't already seen you from a balcony on the first floor).

Although it's a little hard to find, on account of a conspicuous lack of signage (owner's modesty, perhaps?), this is a rather nice B&B for a stay of a day or two. In a stay of two days, I had quite a good time here. The room we got was pretty huge and clean. The breakfast is bland but there are really nice places nearby to eat. There's a supermarket within walking distance. And the trattoria La Golosa (42 Via Salemi) nearby makes some really amazing pasta. Go there, it's excellent.

Mario, the owner/manager of this B&B, is a really nice guy and helps you with information about local transport (buses and ferries) and things to see/do. Also, he's an electrical engineer (as I recall), so if you have some questions in that area that need to be answered urgently, he can help you out.

It's in quite a decent location too. The cable car to Erice is nearby. There's a place opposite the B&B where kids gather to play and scream (also a children's game in Sicily, apparently), so during the day, you might hear that a lot. However, post 10 PM, nothing of this sort bothered us.

Decent place to stay in, overall. And since Sicily is amazing, you would rather be spending more time outside than in a hotel room anyway.

We (two couples) stayed here recently for two nights. The neighbourhood is quite scruffy but the rooms are good, clean and comfortable. The owner Mario Fontana was extremely helpful with information on local attractions, directions, arranging transport for us and even personally picking us up and dropping us off a few times so that we could catch our buses on time. On his recommendation, we took very enjoyable trips to Erice and to Segesta, and even a quick trip through the picturesque salt-pans on the way back to Trapani airport. Mario recommended a nearby small Trattoria 'La Golosa' run by chef Nino and his wife. This is not to be missed! Nino's Spaghetti con cozze e gamberi accompanied by a generous carafe of local wine was a superb and his parfait that followed was heaven on a plate!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms that overlook the small play area in front of the B&B. Local kids can be noisy at night.

Staff is really nice and helpful. Breakfast was really good. Property is located in a residential area, at the suburbs of Trapani. You will have to drive to centre, but you will not experience any problems finding a place to park at the B&B (which should be an issue in the centre).

B&B Delle Palme is a very nice place. We speand 2 wonderful days there. The location is not central, but the owner gave us 2 bicycles and we could us it for exclusive. B&B is placed near a cable car (about 1 km - easy to reach by bike) to Erice (a place surely worth visitng during a stay in Trapani). The owner and his staff were very friendly and caring. When we came whey welcomed us with orange juice and some snacks. The breakfast was great - a nice choice of cold meats, cheese, breadrolls, jam, fresh sweet bakings, cold pizza-bread and a wonderful coffee. The only disadvange is a price - little bit expensive (50 euro per double room), but we had a special coupon with a 20% discount so it was also OK comparing to other B&B or hotels.

two girl friends and myself stayed at this B&B and found it to be everything we needed. As other reviews suggest there was a fair amount of walking involved as transport links were not always great, but we managed to get everywere without too much trouble. A trip up to Erice in the cable cars is a must! The room was clean and bed was comfortable, although we did take turns to sleep on the less comfortable sofa/bed for the third person. Breakfast was great- for the first couple of days then it was just the previous days left overs. One morning another guest came and took all the good stuff (pastries and such like) leaving us with yoghurt, fruit, ham and bread. I have to admit though for us three girls we did feel a little uneasy like we were intruding on their family home, we were a little cautious to use the cooking facilities which are shared. However, they did pick us up from the airport for a reasonable price and offerred the use of their powered bikes. So all in all not bad, probably better suited to couples.
