We came across this lovely find on Sunday. We sat in the Garden outside, (suitable for winter only). glimpsed water views, there are a few choices of seating, Gazebo, outdoor, beer garden and upstairs where views would be better. A fantastic band started after 1pm . The lines started to get very long after 12:30pm. Some staff were helpful and friendly and some not so much.

It was a very busy Sunday for the Hotel, as they had the boxing on the TV's then a live band after, Johnny Cash Tribute show.

First off the day was a spectacular winters day, sunny, no wind. The setting in the beer garden is fantastic. Even as the crows built, there was still plenty of room.

We arrived early, and ordered our Seafood Platter - which was well and truly worth every cent!!

As a couple it was too much (How often can you say that). What a great array of seafood - from bugs, prawns both in the shell and cooked with an amazing sauce, oysters both kilpatric and plain, scallops, fish, smoked salmon and more .....

To say that the staff were run off their feet would be an understatement at peak lunch time, however they were professional, and the service was not compromised.

We will be back.

Dear Reviewer
Thank you for your review. Boy you were right, the day was massive and all my staff went over and above their duties in servicing such a large crowd,
Look forward to your return

Fantastic mussels Norwegian. Moreton Bay Bugs beautiful. Fresh oysters. This was a spur of the moment lunch after viewing the Bald Archy art exhibition and was a total surprise. Well worth the trip out from Brisbane.

Dear Paul
Great to hear you enjoyed yourself. The Mussels are a house specialty and the Oysters from Bruny Island are to die for.

Breakfast was a let down for our family on Mother's Day... yes it was raining and seating was compromised however some staff members were not interested in helping us find a seat that wasn't crammed in with other families when there was other seating available. Our coffee's were cold and extremely weak (basically just milk). The meals were also cold and the bacon was not very appealing as it was barely cooked. Left most of the food on the plate. This restaurant has a good layout and is in a great location and has a lot of potential with a few changes.

Dear Reviewer
Thank you for your comments. I agree there is nothing worse than cold coffee and undercooked bacon. I apologize for the disappointing morning.
