My three sisters and I had a great stay here just two weeks ago. The four of us stayed in the Kuralt Room with one queen and one King size bed. The beds were very comfortable, far better than some of the B & B's I have stayed at in the past in other locations. The rooms were very clean with plenty of towels and extra blankets and even a soft bathrobe hanging in the closet. Plus bottled water and chocolates in a welcome bag. The hostess, Virginia, is an amazing chef in her own right and even caters special events. Her breakfasts were delightful, fluffy scrambled eggs and bacon, fresh fruit one day and the best French toast ever the second day. She likes to alternate from savory to sweet. She also has a lot of knowledge about the surrounding area and will gladly recommend restaurants and local attractions. She has magazines and menus to help you consider what you might want to order. The B & B is within walking distance to a quaint coffee shop and downtown shopping and restaurants, and the waterfront. Some very good thrift stores, antique stores, decor and more. So many restaurants to chose from in fact, I would like to return to the area to try more. This is the second time I have stayed here. Great accommodations both times. The big wraparound porch was a delightful place to have coffee in the morning or wine in the late afternoon. I highly recommend the Pamlico House for your next visit to Washington.

Room Tip: The Kuralt Room can accommodate 4 adults (book two and add two for $25 each per night). The room was spacious and comfortable.

Exactly what you're looking for in a B&B. Great, clean room. Breakfast was terrific. It's clean and presents well. We stayed in the Kuralt room and I would do it again in a second. Highly recommended.

Hadn't really ever spent much time in Washington, NC. Decided to do it the best way possible, stay at a BB. Very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyed the Washington room. Hostess was great and breakfast was delicious!

We stayed at the romantic Pamlico House Bed and Breakfast for our anniversary. It is a beautiful old house, full of charm and character, and is very conveniently located to downtown and to the waterfront. Our room, The Washington Room, had an especially historical ambiance. The vestibule, living room, and dining room of the Pamlico House are tastefully and elegantly decorated, making guests feel as if they are stepping back into the past. Sitting outside on the wrap-around porch in a rocking chair or at a table is very relaxing and nostalgic as well. Virginia cheerfully greeted us at the door, dressed up, as if she were expecting guests. Amazingly talented, she has things organized down to the smallest detail, such as providing a nightlight in the bathroom and having informational notebooks available, which, among other things, include not only a listing of restaurants in the area but also their hours, price range, and sample menus. In the morning she serves a gourmet breakfast to her guests and will gladly chat with them, answer any questions they have, and provide whatever help she can. Virginia is very personable, and it's obvious that she enjoys being a bed and breakfast hostess. Located in "Original" Washington, the Pamlico House Bed and Breakfast not only affords visitors the opportunity to experience nearby tourist attractions, such as The Estuarium, but also take short trips to Bath and New Bern as well. Thank you, Virginia, for our wonderful, romantic anniversary get-away.

Room Tip: The Washington Room is on the first floor and just across from the dining room

Spent overnight at the Pamlico house and was happy with the choice. The house and rooms were immaculately kept and the breakfast on Sunday was outstanding...French toast, fruit cup and sausage. It is on a quiet street believe it or not and yes you could walk to restaurants and waterfront if you wanted to but as is the norm in NC the weather had changed to stifling hot so we drove the qtr mile or so. The only negative was there were not the amenities like cold water all day or a snack and maybe that's a norm because I had never stayed in a B&B before. But the kurault room was lovely with 2 beds and sumptuous bedding. A cute little bathroom in the room was fine and again immaculate. The innkeeper Virginia very nice.
