Gourmet breakfast served in our room each morning! Jacuzzi tub in our room. Great private patio. We spent 2 nights and did NOT want to leave. They have a huge movie and book collection for guests. We saw so many birds (including hummingbirds NOT at a feeder.) The staff could not have been more friendly or more accommodating. We plan to go back next year. We stayed in the St. Paul de Vence suite, and if you like a large room, this one's for you! Though because it is partitioned with a fireplace, both sides keep an intimate feel. We were so lucky to spend our anniversary in Paradise! (And only 2.5 hour drive from Charlotte, NC:)

Room Tip: If you need space, choose the St. Paul de Vence. It is on the lowest level, but has so much room, a TV, cable & DVD player, private patio, nice fireplace, and awesome jacuzzi tub.

The Yellow House is an upscale B&B in furnishings and amenities, but it 's the downhome vibe that makes this place truly special. Everyone on staff is friendly and helpful, yet not intrusive. You're free to relax and roam the lush grounds (woods, ponds, and gardens), or make a cup of tree and curl up in the library or on the Adirondack chairs overlooking the sloped front yard.. The original 1800s main house has been lovingly restored, and the huge covered porch has plenty of rocking chairs for everyone to sit and snooze, or take in the view of misty mountains. We stayed in the suites adjacent to the house. Each morning, a bountiful (fresh fruit, homemade biscuits, stuffed French Toast...) was served on our private porch overlooking the pond below. Greeting the day out there brought back memories of sitting up in the branches hidden from view in my backyard treehouse. There's some occasional road noise (the house is near the road and there are other homes surrounding the property), but it's the bird songs and frog calls; easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah National Forest, Waynesville, and Asheville; and the simple pleasure of simple pleasures that make The Yellow House the perfect place to call your home away from home.

Room Tip: We didn't stay in the main house, so we can't recommend a specific room. Our suite (Windward) was perfect for my husband who uses a wheelchair and cane. No stairs, big room (soothing yellow and blue decor(, gas fireplace, private deck, stocked mini fridge, full bath, sitting area). Plenty of space for a couple.

We love the Waynesville area, and were thrilled to find this wonderful bed and breakfast. Everything was perfect about our short visit. Our room was spacious and lovely, with a small balcony overlooking a pond through a tree canopy. We had a cup of coffee on the balcony while listening to the birds in the morning before our delicious breakfast on the front porch. We also had a pre-breakfast walk down a country lane to start the day out right, and enjoyed the 6 PM wine and cheese mini buffet the evening before.
Shawn, our host, was wonderful, and every possible amenity we could have wished for was provided. From the soft music piped into the rooms(controlled by a dial) to the fireplace in our room (not used d/t summer heat), to the snacks and beverages available, we could not have asked for more.

We enjoyed our stay at the gorgeous Yellow House last year so much we had to return again a few weeks ago. Shawn did not disappoint! Last year we stayed upstairs in Estaing which was lovely. My husband treated me to a wonderful massage for our anniversary. It was a beautiful day in April and Jenny did my massage out on the balcony, just off the sitting room. The view of the beautifully landscaped grounds was fabulous. Wow! This time we stayed in Sconset, on the ground floor, a bright and spacious, yet cozy hideaway. The beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in, with luxury pillows and the finest linens. LOVED it! Shawn is an exceptional host, warm and friendly and also very knowledgeable about the area. He serves a delicious breakfast but adds special touches like afternoon wine and hors d'ouevres, home-baked cookies and snacks. Each room has a mini-fridge stocked with soft drinks and water. This is our favorite B & B and we plan to return often!

Room Tip: All of the rooms in the house are exceptionally lovely.

The enviroment is perfect for getting together, their are so many different areas on the property to set and chat. A very nice place to relax, enjoy some great food and drive away looking forward to the next visit.
