By far you need to see the ship and all of its levels and things to learn about. Great photo ops and history lessons.

The price is $14 per adult and you go at your own pace. The ship is a lot bigger than it looks and you can spend a lot of time here if you see everything. There are plaques along the way that tell stories and explains what you are seeing. There are a lot of steps and they are narrow and steep. This was a great place to be on Veterans Day There is a small gift shop and restrooms.

Better if military history is your thing. But even if it's not, this is a ship that's well maintained and easy to tour. The scale of the ship is impressive once on board. Most children would enjoy it, at least for a while. Lower decks are quite warm on a hot summer day.

The wife and I visited the battleship when doing a week long anniv trip at the beach. The history of this ship was amazing and we got to tour a great deal of the ship from the bridge to the firing posts to the engines, galley ect... If you are in Wilmington definitely consider making a stop here.

This museum/memorial for the 11,000 North Carolinians who died serving in all services during WWll, is both fitting and worthy of support. It is one of the best maintain and equipped of the few battleships still around. 15 battle stars earned it high recognition for the men who lived and served aboard. Go see it.
