Hungary from walking round the Tropical Spice Garden and searching for somewhere to eat, we spotted some people eating at a roadside cafe. Enquiring as to whether they were still cooking meals, were told it was late in the day but they could cook us some prawns and rice. When it arrived, we had 24 of the largest, juciest giant prawns I have ever seen or tasted. We had a dish of brown rice with egg, pineapple and cashew nuts which we washed down with 2 lagers and a coconut milk shake. It was so filling we couldn't manage the fruit on offer. The lady who takes the order and brings the food is friendly, helpful and speaks good english. A delicious meal and only £10.00 each. It really is too good to miss if you are looking in this locality for a special seafood meal.

We ate countless times over 10 years in Taitong. Even though it's away from Georgetown it is easily accessible by Uber or Telok Bahang bus which stops in front of the restaurant. The proprietor is very friendly and accommodating. He recommends fish fresh from the sea, juicy play mantis prawns, crabs and several types of clams all cooked to your taste buds....we discarded the menu as we suggested our favourite recipes. Play mantis prawns cooked in salted egg yolk is a favourite...and so are the chilli crabs, squids in fresh herbs Thai style, steamed fish, clams in sambal,...
Probably the best dishes found in the one meal. ..the cost ? way cheaper than restaurants in Georgetown or Batu Ferringhi

Was taken here by a family friend as we wanted a seafood lunch. Definitely would not have come so far out if we had not been shown, but so glad we came.

The fish and yam soup was really good and I am not usually a fan of fish soup. The squid and chilly crab was suburb and very fresh.

The highlight was definitely the salted egg yolk prawns, best I have tasted in Malaysia so far.

Great atmosphere, very attentive patron. Enjoyed the Garupa and crab: very fresh sea food; delicious sauces.

Aye here in an evening. Wasn't bust so were a little worried, but it is low season, so you know.
Had crispy noodles (a small portion turned out to be massive) whish were ok and some mixed veg which was tasty, but the highlight and the reason for 4 star review, was the red snapper. We had it deep fried with a chilli sauce. Perfect crispy skin and succulent meat. Clearly super fresh. Chilli sauce was sticky and mild with lots of fresh coriander. It was lovely.
Pricing was cheap compared to the UK, but by Southeast Asian standards wasn't.
RM 67 for the two of us though and we couldn't finish it all.
I would happily eat here again though and recommend to others.

Thank Alex L
