My husband and I shared the nachos and I must say they were great. Nicely layered with lots of cheese, olives, jalapenos and the salsa was excellent. It was nice to be able to sit on the patio. The restaurant was just too hot, no A/C and flies on the windows. We will be back. It's too bad the pub can't serve all that is on the restaurant menu.

We mistook the pub for the restaurant, but the advantage of this was to be served by a lovely, terrifically helpful waitress.
The menu doesn't do justice to the excellent (pub) fare. High quality ingredients, huge portions.
Highly recommended.

The service was excellent and food was fresh and tasty liked a home cooked meal. Portion size was just right and ambience was lovely. We especially enjoyed the many historical photographs.

Stopped for breakfast iat this quaint little restaurant. Not too many people so the service was fast and the waitress very friendly. Asked us as we were walking in whether we wanted coffee and checked back through the meal that we had everything we needed. Huge plates of food that was very tasty-I would recommend this stop anytime! Beautiful jewelry for sale at the till as well as books and photos on the local history.

BKR and I pulled over from our trip up north; late afternoon visibility on the winter roads had become horrendous. The Cariboo Lodge was an oasis on this unpleasant journey. Let's begin with our reception: first class, friendly, and warm. The log construction decor matches the Cariboo region. Further, everything was spotless. We opted for simple menu options. The hamburger was plentiful and delicious, as was the soup. Prices are very much normal. I've eaten here several times on other occasions and, once more, was not disappointed. Quite likely, on future trips north, we'll dine here again. One minor quibble: I'm a bit of a beer snob and British Columbia is a craft brew Mecca, yet the Cariboo Lodge stocks not a single local craft beer. Too bad.
