This is probably the best KOA we've stayed at. The cabins have a gorgeous lake front setting. We were in a tent site and it was private. Not far to the bathroom which was clean and private, think actual toilet cubicles that have a real door without gaps, same on showers. It gets cold here in NFL and we got a real cold night. We shared our fire with a big arctic hare sniffing round tents. The jumping pillow and playground were great, my older kid stayed out till dark socialising. Only problem was a cabin nearby us had a bunch of morons with their car radio blaring. Note if you are camping, people actually like the quiet and serenity of nature. The caretakers were quick to tell them to turn it down not that it stopped them. But at least even morons respect the 10pm quiet rule so it was ok.

We had difficulty finding it but eveNtually we contacted the staff and they helped us out ALOT. GPS could not locate the park. Upon arrival, the staff were super courteous and very helpful. The park is very well laid out. We parked our camper is no time, the lot was somewhat narrow but once parked, there is an open area for picnic and campfire (well thought out). The nature trail around the lake is a good addition. We enjoyed it very much. The lake and available toys for kids and adults alike were readily available. Fun place to return to.

Room Tip: All sites are the same.

We were two couples traveling for a week. Spent all but one night at the KOA and it was great. Everything was as expected. Sure the wifi didn't extend everywhere but we are camping so evening being able to sit at a kitchen shelter to use was a luxury. Great location to fantastic trails and sites in Gros Morne.

This was our first experience of both a KOA campsite and a campsite cabin, although we’d stayed in many other offsite cabins during our trip.
We use that as a prelude because we were less than impressed with our ‘deluxe cabin’. I can only think it was ‘deluxe’ because it had an integral bathroom and bedding & towels were supplied. There was nothing else deluxe about it. More like Finnish sauna with a microwave.
For the money we’ll be staying elsewhere next time.

Room Tip: Cabins along the pond are cheaper but have no bathroom

Lovely park with good private sites or gravelled sites with full dump hookup. Our dogs enjoyed swimming in the pond and the fenced K-9 area. Well kept campground. Close to Norris Point and Rocky Harbour where you can get most of your needs filled. We used this as our Anchor Point to travel the Viking Trail rather than hauling our trailer all around. Further point north is only 4 hours. Western Brook Pond is only 25 minutes and you can enjoy a wonderful 2 hr boat tour.
