The fish and chips here are the best! I'm from Newfoundland and have fairly high standards when it comes to fish and chips but the food here was exceptionally good. Large portions of delicious flaky fish at a good price. The chips are hand cut and delicious. There was a bit of a wait to get in but that's understandable given how great the food is!!!

This was certainly a popular place with the locals, because we waited forever to be seated. It really was not worth the wait, but was not expensive.

We heard about this restaurant from car rental lady at the airport so we can thank her for the tip. Plain and simple but right on the water's edge and large delicious cod and chips, actually the best fries ever. Great service but be forewarned they don't take credit cards, cash or debit only but the cost is reasonable.

We had lunch here after one of our trips into Gros Morne. We were told by several sources (both local and other tourists) that the burgers were good here. So, we went to try the burgers/hot sandwiches and added a “Jack Attack” (JA). The fish burger and the regular burger were both just spot on—good ol’ homemade goodness. They aren’t huge or anything drastic but just well executed dishes. The JA was just crazy! It was like a Newfoundlander version of poutine where fries meets sloppy joe. I don’t know what was in there but it was so good! We also ordered a large version of the coleslaw to complete the meal. The food is comfort at its best.

The atmosphere is homey and unassuming but had enough seating and was clean. Service was friendly and quick. There weren’t any issues while eating here and we were happy that we checked this little place out. Food is simple but well done and tasty (don’t expect to eat healthily though… it isn’t exactly good for your heart but that’s the point when you’re on vacation), and service etc was exactly was we expected it to be.
