Beautiful B &B in restored heritage home. Louise served a wonderful hot breakfast. For a good place to eat, try The Grubstake just down the road. Walking distance to the Louisbourg Playhouse. Conveniently located close to Fortress Louisbourg which was the main objective of our visit. Recommended!

Spent 2 nights at this lovely bed and breakfast. Great place to stay for visiting the fortress. Check in was a breeze and the breakfast which was served at their "sister" B&B was excellent. Our room was very large and we had a private deck which was a nice bonus. The house has been lovingly restored and the décor is lovely. Would recommend this without hesitation

We stayed one night in the Draper Room and were very impressed with how beautiful the room is! There is a sitting area and ensuite bathroom. All rooms on the second and third floor seem to have their own outside entrances, which was very convenient. We had a lovely view of the harbour on our private outdoor seating area. The property was within walking distance to a number of restaurants.

My only minor complaint is that the window shutters, while adorable and add to the historic feel of the room, did not do a great job of keeping the room dark during the night and in the early morning. With the house being an older building, we were also able to hear our upstairs neighbours move around late at night and early in morning - both noise and light are reasons I always pack ear plugs and a sleep mask when I travel. Minor annoyance, but easily fixed.

There is a binder (in French and English) with lots of information. There's also a mini fridge, coffee maker, glasses, TV. The bathroom was very clean.

Parker was a wonderful host and is a great cook - the next morning we walked over to the Harbour Inn B&B for breakfast and was served a delicious cranberry & cheese scone, plus fruit popover (very much like the German pancakes I make at home) - I was very impressed and everything was delicious! He also gave us suggestions of places to eat and that we catch a concert at the Louisbourg Playhouse, which we were thankful for as we thoroughly enjoyed it!

There are many good B&B's to stay in in Louisbourg, and I'm glad we chose the Heritage House. Highly recommended!

This was our first B&B experience and it will set the bar for future stays at B&Bs! Our well-appointed room on 2nd floor had a very comfortable queen bed, a private ocean-view balcony and a spacious ensuite bathroom with tub. The common rooms were very comfortable, especially the small common kitchen complete with dishes and utensils where you could make coffee or tea, and use the refrigerator and sink.

A delicious and hearty breakfast served at their sister property just a couple of blocks away.

The proprietress Louise was very welcoming and accommodating and gave us an excellent recommendation for entertainment at the Louisbourg theatre.

Overall, a lovely comfortable stay!

My wife and I stayed at Heritage House but had breakfast at Louisbourg Harbor House about 2 blocks away. It was bigger and had views we didn't have at Heritage House. Breakfast was great and the innkeepers very pleasant. Heritage House did have a community kitchen which was nice. Very clean and nice. The Fortress and lighthouse walks were five stars.
