This place was great.
The day I visited they had 3 different street cars running and I rode each one!
The warehouse with all the subway cars was really neat.
A super great way to spend the day.
We found this place 15 yrs ago since my son loved cars and trains and ever since than we go at least once a year to visit it with our family and friends that come to visit us in Milton. It is great place to spend afternoon, run by the volunteers that are very friendly and knowledgeable. It has several old street cars and train that takes you on a ride in wooded area where they placed an old station. When you get off there is little frog pond, favourite place for kids and great place to take beautiful pictures. Within walking distance there is ice cream shop in one of the old Toronto streetcars and you can have little treat while waiting for another streetcar/train to come to take you back. Around the main building there are couple picnic tables so you can bring in your food if you wish. There is also huge garage with many other restored trains/streetcars as well as old station which looks like mini museum. Parking is free, and if you have CAA you get discount for the tickets. You can have as many rides on streetcars as you wish once you are in. There is also little gift shop at the main building where you buy your tickets.
Bob, Ed, Oswald, Mackenzie and the rest of the knowledgable and friendly volunteers at the Radial Railway gave the four of us memorable tours of our rail-filled past. What an excellent way to connect with our heritage transportation system including subways, buses, streetcars, train cars, etc. We were able to ride four diverse streetcars clickitty-clacking on their two kilometre tracks while listening to the volunteer guides weave fascinating stories of the eras they represented. The barns were marvellous for exploring rolling stock. Picnic tables, ice cream vendor, snack bar, pond, gift shop, all provided a great day out. The next few weekends, Halloween will be celebrated then at Christmas, all will be decked out.
We will be back! A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS.
Went on a long weekend Sunday. Beautiful Fall afternoon. Short old streetcar ride through a small forest. Number of families enjoying the bouncing around on the tracks. Most likely the highlight of the visit.
Also to be seen is the main hangar housing a good number of restored street cars.
A small gift / coffee shop offers plenty of souvenirs and books related to ealier periods of train travel in Canada.

Our visit on a Sunday afternoon was a perfect outing for our British family. We enjoyed riding the Rails on the beautifully restored cars. Be sure to stop at the ice cream shop. The volunteers working here are very knowledgeable and their passion to keep the history alive is very evident. The car barn was a real hit with the little ones. Lots of different cars to explore. On site cafe/lunch counter offers cold drinks, coffee, hotdogs, etc. Great place for a family outing. Wheelchair friendly and picnic tables available.
Some people have worked very hard to get this museum up and running. There is much for the enthusiast to see and everyone will enjoy the unlimited rides on the streetcars, even though the rides are quite short. The staff are lovely, especially those driving and conducting the rides.
