Well I have lived in Southampton for 40 years and did not know that ARMENS cafe was there, nice find, it right beside the slums of Southampton, walk past the slums and it right there.

Thank armencafe

We were exploring Southampton when we tripped across this small unassuming establishment steps away from the local art gallery. We followed a group of locals into Armens and were overwhelmed by the smells and sights that hit us when we opened the door. Armens should be on everybody's list of "must visits", they offer a wide array of tempting soups, sandwiches, salads and speciality hot drinks...all at very reasonable prices. My wife gobbled up her carrot cake and remarked that it was full of flavourful spices. My London Fog was delicious and a welcome refreshment on a cold day.

Armen's cafe is finally open again - so happy!
First meal of the season was excellent - butter chicken with a paneer side dish and some Dahl soup. Full of flavours and nicely spiced.
Great good, great service, great atmosphere.
Good to see Kelly and Armen working together again!!!
Still the best place on Southampton to eat!!!

This little "hidden gem" or as I call it "a diamond in a hole" is beyond words. Tiny, amazing authentic food for the adventurous as well. Armen's love of Asian, Indian, Turkish foods and other cuisines is amazing. He has travelled and learn how to make these authentic dishes. If you love spice, this is your place. It is only open till 3:00 pm so get there early!
