Have not been there in several years but last visit and all before the food was absolutely wonderful. Small place with small court yard. Things in Mexico can change without notice so beware.

This is the essence of Mexico. Authentic, quality Mexican cuisine. Tio Domingo is located off the beaten track. #204 Ocampo, West Ajijic. Salvador has been around a VERY long time and takes a lot of pride in the food he serves and has a special place in his heart for his customers that support him and his restaurant. The Margaritas are Fabulous! We the locals, LOVE this place for its authenticity & personal service. The food is reasonably priced, as is the drinks. I personally love the Chili en Nogada! (My Fav) and then there is THAT desert! Omg. Bananas, (Pantines?) fried in something sweet and on fire! Lol! Can't remember the name. Senior moment. Must go!

Wonderful menu with a range from Mexican to Continental. Outdoor and indoor seating with a very nice bar. The best staff you can find in Ajijic, the owner is charming and full of great local information. We enjoyed the fish in mustard sauce, the chile relleno, and the chicken burrito. Everything was served piping hot! Great bread, and Mexican ketchup (spicy). Highly recommended.

After a lapse of a few months, we revisited our local restaurant. It was as if we had been there just yesterday, greeted by Chavo the owner who guided us to "our" table. Of course, we had our usual arachera, perfectly cooked medium with mashed potatoes and vegetables and the best dunking gravy. That and a bottle of wine came just about US$24 including tip. Great garden location with anthurium lilies everywhere in full bloom.
