We stopped by on a Sunday night after having found VE Cocina Española on TA, and boy am I glad we did!
We started off with the bread and jamon, and instead of ordering entrees ordered three "taster" plates - the gambas al ajillo, torta española, and the pulpo. Fantastic!! The torta was just right - creamy texture and perfectly mixed. The shrimp and the pulpo were perfectly cooked. What a great meal! I will definitely go back next time I'm in VdB.
The place is small and service was very good. It is a little off the beaten path if you're in the centro area, but it's well worth the 80-90 pesos for a cab ride over there.
