Description: Bridging the gap between country inn & local restaurant, this substantial brick & timber hostelry is a handy addition to the drinking & dining scene in this gentrified part of the Chilterns. The Three Oaks is an independent and contemporary 'Gastro Pub' where the kitchen & service sets out to please winning many Awards for their efforts. The Lunch set menu offer's excellent value (£15/19 for two/three courses at lunch and dinner) running alongside the fabulous A la Carte menu and there is a Steak Club every Monday night which is not to be missed. The Sunday Roast has also been voted in the Uk's Top 50! There's also plenty of good drinking on the Corney & Barrow wine list (look for Guy de Chassey Champagne, Archaval-Ferrer Malbec, & Michiel Eradus Pinot Noir from New Zealand) alongside local Rebellion ales on tap.

Steak night on Mondays is a real bonus to patrons here. Food is consistently good but Monday night is steak night and exceptional value with reduced prices on some terrific meats and BYO wines at £5 per bottle.
Tonight's visit was enhanced by Wesley's efficient management and truly delightful service from Hayley.
My wife and I had a really enjoyable evening out. Thank you Three Oaks.

We took over the place last Saturday for a surprise party for 80 guests. Tom and all the team were amazing and the service throughout the day was faultless. We choose The Three Oaks as we already love the food however the chefs and kitchen team surpassed themselves by delivering amazing quality food, hot to all guests in a matter of minutes. If you have not been just go!! The venue is really welcoming and the bar and Restuarant are tastly furnished with a lovely garden to enjoy a drink. We have always enjoyed whatever we have ordered and the service is warm, welcoming and 100% genuine. If you have not tried the Monday night steak night, try and get a table. You can take your own wine and pay £5 corkage and the Chateaubriand is AMAZING.

We are regular visitors to The Three Oaks and always have consistently good quality food but todays birthday lunch for my mother in law was the best meal that we have had here!
The crab starters we all went for were exquisite and had wonderful flavours and my The Roasted cod was amazing! All finished off by a huge Knickerbocker glory that was shared! The staff are always so helpful and very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We will look forward to returning soon.

We went on the Monday steak night with friends. The place was very busy, thankfully we had booked and were given a very nice table. Very nice leek and wild garlic soup followed by filet medallions with excellent chips. Good portions, well cooked and excellent service that was not overpowering.
Strongly recommended for those that like nice, well cooked unpretentious food.

The steak (I had the ribeye) was acceptable, but frankly not great meat. The deserts looked pretty good, though I managed not to indulge. However, this is one of the most expensive towns in the UK and the restaurant offers good service and a slick presentation with a Monday night steak offer where you can bring your own wine and there is a hefty discount. Frankly, you can't knock that. Great option for the price
