We had been told about La Cantina and my wife visited with friends the week before. She was so impressed that three of us tried it on a Saturday night. A cheery greeting from the gentleman in the ground floor bar who checked we had a reservation and then a choice of lift or stairs to the restaurant. First impressions were of a bright, airy and welcoming first floor restaurant with plenty of room between the tables and efficient and cheerful staff.
The first courses were very good, the entrees were excellent and the tiramisu was, quite simply, the best I have ever tasted.
Portions were ample without over facing us. We eat out frequently and La Cantina is rapidly becoming a favourite.
