We were invited by our friends to try The La Cantina Restaurant, as an option to Warrington Restaurants. This turned out to be a very good decision. On entering the Building, you are immediately in a bar, where you can spend some time with your friends until you are ready to dine. The bar staff were friendly and sociable. The restaurant is on the next floor. There is a lift to take you up or stairs. On entering the dining area we were met by one of the staff and taken to our table. All the staff at this establishment were very friendly and sociable. They were also efficient taking orders and bringing the meals.
The menu was truly mediterranean with a good and varied choice. The steaks were done as we ordered . The price was a little higher than some restaurants, but was worth it.The atmosphere was pleasant , a little like Italian restaurants but bigger and more spacious. There was plenty of room around the tables, and the large mirrored wall made the area look even bigger. The wine and drinks were good and averagely priced for a restaurant. There is also a children's menu and an early doors menu at a lower cost .
The staff were a mix of English Spanish and Turkish. The place was very clean and well organised. We would certainly travel to Widnes again to visit La Cantina.

Could not fault this unique place. A solid menu that offers something a bit different, great portions, and cooked to perfection. Went with my family, ten adults and a baby; a wide range of ages. It suited everyone. Staff were on point, and attentive, nothing too much trouble. Give it a go.
As an aside. The restaurant is on the first floor, and there is a lift if needed.
There is also a bar downstairs.

Visited with family last week. The restaurant is light, airy with very pleasant surroundings. The menu is different for Widnes, good choice of mediterranean cuisine. The food and staff are excellent, would recommend a visit, we will definitely be returning.

Visited Sunday 12th Jane 2016 - found these reviews and decided to take my Mum for her 82nd birthday. Fully accessible - even a lift to the first floor dining area. Very quiet at 5.30 pm, just 3 other groups - deserves to be bursting at the seams! Excellent service from all the staff and the food was superb. Good choice on the menu and we thoroughly enjoyed our choices. Will definitely recommend to all our friends.
