Had some brilliant roast roast duck. Good small village pub. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Need to book though as obviously popular.

the menu available catered for most dietary needs, including being a vegetarian and gluten intolerant. the food was very well presented and delicious. Portions were perfect sizes, we had enough space for desert and a night cap! And if you cant drive home they know of an excellent taxi driver called David who is just establishing his business .

My wife and I visited last Monday evening for dinner without a booking. My wife had the duck which was cooked perfectly and I had the wild venison burger which was absolutely perfect and served with a lovely relish. We shared a cheese platter to finish and I was disappointed to find the same relish served with the cheese that came with the burger, although it was nice, it went with the burger more than the cheese. There were obviously new staff receiving some training when we visited but this did not adversely effect our visit or the service which was spot on. Good selection of ales in the bar as well. Well worth a visit.
