really fabulous stay!
stayed in apt 37 which is a 1 bed-roomed ground floor apt and furthest away from hotel (which is not a problem).
well laid out. 2 toilets in the facility, odd but welcome.
the manager came within 5 mins of checking in to tell all about the apt and the facilities which was good. welcome meeting at 6pm the first night was a bit of a waste of time as it didn't really tell you anything meaningful.

pros
spacious
good location
10% off food at hotel
clean
loads of towels
free wifi (but can be v slow at peak times)
free electricity (unlike most other timeshares)
patio looks onto river

cons
patio furniture only really of use for having a cup of tea etc as a bit hard seats and small - would bring a recliner next time.
nothing else bad to say - mostly great set up.

Lesa C, many thanks for your kind review posted following your recent stay with us. all our properties sleep a minimum of 4 people which is why we provide adequate lavatory facilities. The welcome meeting is held on a Sunday evening as our arrivals are split between Saturday and Sunday arrivals, it is simply a welcome to the resort for regulars and first time visitors.
We are pleased that you enjoyed the facilities of your apartment and we are indeed looking at replacing some of our patio furniture.
Thanks again for sharing your comments with the TA community and we hope you are able to visit us again in the future.

We have previously stayed in the cottages at Lakeland Village but this time we were accommodated in one of the apartments. A very pleasant outlook directly overlooking the river and a terrace area to make the most of the afternoon sun.
The apartment was well appointed and now with wi-fi access which is very useful.
A comfortable and relaxing break in quiet surroundings.

Room Tip: Cottages and apartments on east side of river enjoy the afternoon sun.

Many thanks for your "five star" review following your recent stay at The Lakeland Village. We were pleased to see that an apartment stay can be just as enjoyable as a cottage experience, especially those that overlook the river.

The addition of wi-fi has indeed proved very popular and we are receiving many positive comments about the system.

We hope you continue to enjoy relaxing breaks here for many years to come, thanks once again.

A lovely site with excellent accommodation [one of the 'time share' buildings]. Delighted to have booked no 4, right on the river, detached, catching the afternoon sun on the patio [and scorching May weather made significant impact], overlooking trees on the opposite side [not other buildings] and the steam train tooting and puffing past on the hill there too. Even watched a heron catch and eat a large eel! I do think position of accommodation matters: this one and 2/3 others near would seem perfect; one further up the embankment and out of sun, and nearer road, wouldn't be as excellent, in my opinion. Those other side of bridge probably fine, though looking across river at one another. Accommodation itself was superb, and staff as absolutely helpful as could be. There was a noise of the river tumbling under the bridge to our right, and a weir to our left: a constant whoosh of natural 'noise', which took getting used to. Not detracting from overall excellence at all, but I don't want to sanitise either. I would recommend studying site map carefully; inquire from staff.

Room Tip: See main comment: I'd certainly recommend no 4, and 3 and 5

Many thanks for posting a top marks review following your recent stay with us. Cottage 4 as you say does have a great spot right by the river, and you were indeed blessed with the weather which i think the whole of Cumbria welcomed ......
The resort does offer different options as we are spread out over a wide area and we know that owners and regular renters all have their favourite spots ! Pleasing to see also you found the cottage to your liking as well as our friendly, helpful team.
I spotted that heron too, but upstream - by the time I returned with my camera it had gone, it is a regular visitor though.
Thanks once again and we hope you get the chance to come and enjoy the surroundings again soon, keep an eye on our website for availability....

Just spent a week here in magnificent surroundings. Apartments are very well equipped with quality furniture and fittings.
On site leisure facilities are excellent. Pool , steam and sauna rooms , gym and squash court . Tennis court by the river. On site restaurant serving good food at sensible prices.
A fantastic base to tour the south and western Lakes with local attraction including one of the best motor museums in the country , an aquarium , a heritage railway and the Windermere Lake boats.
Staff friendly, rooms very clean and comfortable.
This is a place to return to time and time again .

Phil B many thanks for your 5 star review posted recently, it really does sum up the reason/s why owning/staying here makes for a very enjoyable experience.
The options for thing to do are endless with many great attractions like the railway etc are very close to hand, and the prime spots of Bowness etc just a short drive/sail away....
However for those not wishing to leave the resort there is plenty to do also.

Thanks again and we hope you are able to enjoy what we have to offer for many yeras to come.

High standards are consistently set and achieved. A beautiful setting in one of the quieter parts of the Lakes. Easy to get to and convenient for access to all other areas of the Lake District. The staff are highly motivated and readily available to sort out any problems as they arise. Full marks for a job well done despite the recent flooding problems.
