Enjoyable evening with friends. An interesting menu. Lovely food freshly cooked. Great to be able to experience something a little different than the standard menu... not that there is anything wrong with the menu.

I am pleased you enjoyed our Italian Night. The kitchen worked extremely hard preparing the food & I will ensure they are made aware of your comments.
Since you visited we now have a new evening menu which is totally different & received very good feedback on first night. Hope you can visit again.

Stayed before the coast to coast walk; just down from the start, so ideal. Nice room, good beer, friendly people, good food, and good value. A good shout and recommended, owner is experienced walker too.

My wife and I stayed here the night before starting the Coast 2 Coast hike. It is located in the center of St Bees approximately 1/2 mile from the beach. There was a paved path adjacent to the road giving easy access to the start of the hike.
Our room was average size. It had two small night stands, a single dresser, and one small chair. We had room to put our suitcases on the floor. We were told it had been recently renovated, but it seemed to be past recent renovations to us. Our bathroom was large with a tub and shower curtain. (The shower curtain was a little moldy and the toilet didn't want to flush every time. )
The owner and staff were very kind and helpful.
There was a bar and restaurant on site.

Excellent pub food with a varied menu.
They do the best halloumi burgers I have ever had.
They have a great selection of real ales and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
A great place for dogs too
