Our friends live near here and wanted to take us here for dinner,as it is one of their favorite places. We had a reservation, which is probably recommended for busy times, as the restaurant is not overly big. But the setup is decent, while you are seated close to the people beside you, you don't feel cramped. The decor is nice as well and I enjoyed watching the pizzas go in the wood fired oven as I sat there. The menu is not large, their specialty is the pizzas, but they also have salads, a pasta special, and a couple of small plates, as well as a selection of Italian beers and wines. We started with a rustic bread with olive oil and balsamic, which was very good. For dinner, I ordered a pizza whose name I don't remember, that had tomatoes, herbs, burrata, arugula, and basil drizzle. I changed the arugula to basil and it came out very good. The crust was nice and thin, but crispy, just how I like it. My husband opted for the special of purple potato gnocchi with a basil pesto sauce and he was very happy with his choice. Our friends had two pizzas as well, one that was a mix of meat and mushrooms and one that was a lot of greens with anchovies. Overall, we enjoyed our meals and being there. Yes, it takes a bit longer when they are busy, as you can only cook a few pizzas at a time, but the wait is worth it. Plus all the staff and owners were very friendly. I would love to eat there again!

Came here for brunch after an early morning walk up The Hoad ☀️⛰

Polite staff, and the food was outstanding

Very well decorated with various cycling memorabilia

Opted for the FOCACCIA GENOVESE and it was pretty amazing really tasty and you could tell the ingredients were all top quality . The bread/toast was delicious

Will definitely be returning to try more of the food, and perhaps a cocktail next time

Fab addition to the Ulverston food scene!

Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Noisy enough to enjoy a good chat but not too noisy so as we couldn't hear ourselves. Waiting staff very knowledgeable on the food.

We popped in for a light breakfast and were met by extremely friendly staff member (sorry i cant remember the name) we were given excellent advice and opted for a bacon on soda bread along with mango juice, honestly it was brilliant and we made our mind up to go on a Wednesday evening but unfortunately we could not make it (we hadn't booked anyway) and were disappointed to have missed out :( the interior is great and really creates an atmosphere, all in all a great little restaurant that is off the main street and tucked away but well worth taking the effort to find if your not local to the area.
