We decided to go to this restaurant because we wanted to try a new spot! It turned out to be the best choice. To get there we used Facebook and Google Maps and got there right away (don't use Trip Advisor address or Apple Maps it doesn't get you there). They have a parking area but there was a sign that said that you could park in front of the restaurant. After entering the restaurant we were received by Mayra and Efraín (owners). They were very friendly with us and right away treated us like family. They talked to us about the restaurant's history, food, river and the Peñon (rock in the river). The restaurant is mostly made out of wood, it has nice views towards the river and you can listen to the all of nature especially the river. It makes you feel right away as if you are part of nature (they have had people from around the world that loved Eco Tourism and do camping there).
The waitress was nice and attentive. For drinks, we had the house 'Sangria'. They were very refreshing! For appetizer, we ate the cheese balls, 'masitas de pollo' and 'sorullitos de maiz'. For entree, we had filet mignon (medium) with potatoes and 'carne frita with mofongo'. Both plates were delicious. The service, food and experience were so great that we stayed there talking to the owners until the restaurant closing. When we went there they had no music, but we liked it because you could hear the sounds of nature and talk. It reminded me of my grandfather's farm and its river. Truly a great experience! I'm coming back! I highly recommend it!
