We were warmly welcomed when we arrived for dinner and shown to our table. Although this restaurant is right on the river we could not appreciate the view as it was already dark. But it would be magic at lunchtime or for an early dinner in mid-summer.
We chose the seafood tasting plate and whitebait fritters to share as entrees. All were extremely tasty, well prepared and presented and we enjoyed every mouthful.
Unusually for us, we both chose the same main course – Fish of the Day which was wild Barramundi, accompanied by a warm salad. We ordered a side order of fries to share. The fish was obviously very fresh and was beautifully moist and very tasty.
The wine list was varied and we enjoyed a bottle of Pinot Gris with our meal.
Unfortunately, we had no room for dessert but we will certainly be going back on our next trip to Maroochydore as I’m very keen to try to Eton Mess so I hope it’s still on the menu.
It was a real pleasure to eat in this restaurant. Our hosts were so friendly – they were knowledgeable about the food on offer and really wanted to make our evening enjoyable – and they succeeded very well indeed.
We highly recommend this restaurant both for its food and service. We look forward to our next visit.
