The tour was very interesting. They pointed out neat architectural features like the curved stairs, and fancy ceilings and chandeliers. This place is really breathtaking and feels like a step back in time.

Offered the first Saturday of each month (September through December), the volunteers that work the venues at Playhouse Square (Red Coats) provide a free narrated back-stage tour of the theaters located at Playhouse Square. The tours gather in the State Theatre lobby and depart about every 15 minutes and last about 90 minutes. Tours are given from 10 am to 11:30 am. No registration is necessary for groups with fewer than ten people. For groups of ten or more, you have to call Playhouse Square (216-640-8531). Subject to current play schedules, all five fully restored historic theaters are included on the tour (but may not be accessible). Playhouse Square is the largest theater restoration project in the world. The tour guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. You visit dressing rooms, stages, lobbies, and learn how these fabulous theaters were rescued from demolition. The tour and the facts presented are quite interesting. The results of the years of restoration are visually stunning and the small tour groups allow unobstructed viewing. Although the tours are free, contributions to the "tip-jar" are appreciated. This tour may not be suitable for handicap or strollers since there are a lot of narrow passageways, steps, and walking. Restrooms are available.

Fabulous Broadway Production!!! The show was so well done!!! Our seats were excellent- upstairs- Section 7... we could see and hear very well- seats were comfortable. The theater is absolutely stunning with the golf leaf domed ceiling. Love presentations at Playhouse Square. Convenient restroom facilities.

I always love going to see musicals at Broadway. The theaters are gorgeous, and the staff is friendly. There are great restaurants and bars surrounding the theaters, so every night can be full of fun! The shows that will be coming to Playhouse this year are absolutely incredible, and I can't wait to see them all!

My teenage daughter's, ages 16 and 14, and I all enjoyed just the scenery of the district. We walked around for about an hour just taking in the sites. We would definitely recommend this to those visiting Cleveland looking for something to do!!
