We arrived at the hotel at around 11 am and we were not greated very well, no smile, no welcome, we felt like intruders because our plane arrived earlier than 14, their check-in time. Moving past the first impression, which was very bad, the hotel has nice ammenities: a nice pool where we could always find a chair and umbrella, a nice terrace with a bar. The room is simple, we had one facing the sea, which I recommend. Staying on the balcony was one of our favourite times. The bathroom is very small and basic, the toilet kept running all the time, we reported this but they couldn't fix it. The water was cold during mornings and after 20, so shower between these times if you want hot or warm water. Not many toiletries provided, towels changed every 2 days and 2 tiny soaps so bring your own. The bed was very hard, it was difficult to sleep the first couple of nights before we got used to it. There was a fridge in the room, a very old one, which made a lot of noise when it started to cool off, which was every other 5 min, so during the nights we could hear it. It wasn't very hot during the nights as it was September so we didn't need air cond but if you do need it it costs 50euro per week. There is a tv in the room but all the 20 channels are in Greek so we didn't use it much. There were also ants in the room, which were attracted by our clothes so we had to fight them off. The halfboard meals are good, the breakfast is the same, they change the sweets (which are good) but plentiful. The yogurt was good but I would recommend more fruits. The breakfast time is between 8-9.30 so we couldn't sleep in late but it gave us plenty of time to make use of the day afterwards. The dinner has around 5 courses and salads, different meals every day, and there is something for everyone's taste. The drinks are not included at dinner, so you'll have to pay for that as well. We also had lunch there, they serve snacks, pizza, salads. The beach is 5 min away but it's not a very nice one, it's very small and full of algae. If you want a nice one you'll need to walk around 30 min on the shore or rent a car, there are plenty of nice beaches in Crete, but they aren't in walking distance. The wi-fi is free of charge and you'll have a decent signal at the pool and restaurant, not in your room. Another useful tip, have cash around, they do not have credit cards and you cannot pay with one almost anywhere in Crete. All in all, we had a nice, relaxing time, we visited a bit the sorroundings and stayed at the pool so we were content but the hotel is maximum 3 stars and it shows.
