Description: Established in 1984 by the O'Carroll family, O'Carroll's Cove is the only Beach Side Restaurant & Bar in Ireland. Located mid way between the villages of Caherdaniel and Castlecove, on the busiest tourist route in Ireland, the "Ring of Kerry" and Wild Atlantic Way, O'Carroll's Cove is located on a beautiful sandy beach, with breathtaking views of Kenmare Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The Cove is famous for its turquoise waters, gulf stream, white sandy beaches and the abundance of dolphins, seals and other sea life. O'Carroll's Cove is well known for its juicy steaks, locally sourced fish and seafood - all 100% Irish. The menu offers a variety of food for all tastes and many dishes are gluten free. We also pride ourselves in having the only home made stone baked pizzas on the Ring of Kerry! The Cove offers a unique dining experience with comfortable seating inside. We also have outdoor seating on our extensive sheltered decking areas, with panoramic views of Kenmare Bay. The Coffee Dock at The Cove offers homemade scones, cakes, whipped ice cream cones and slushies with a variety of flavours available. All food is available for take away. With full bar and restaurant service, at O'Carroll's Cove you will feel welcome everytime. Cead Mile Failte!

Either the staff are inexperienced or just plain useless. My husband and I reserved a table for our 10th anniversary dinner hoping to make special memories, but ended up with not-so-special ones. The baked salmon is overpriced and very basic. My husband ordered the lamb burger which was very plain and only served with chips, no salad, no effort at all put into its presentation. I ordered a gin and tonic, after three reminders to the staff it arrived without the tonic!! And the water jug came without glasses to drink it from. We ran a mile from the overpriced desserts. We paid €76 for two starters, two mains and three drinks. The previous night we dined in the Blind Piper up the road and for €86 we had two starters and two mains for two adults, four kids mains and a round of drinks for everyone. The food was far nicer and portion sizes were excellent.

O’Carroll’s won’t disappoint! Amazing views and food. We had the salmon and hake, both cooked to perfection with generous portions. While we ate at the bar, there are several options both indoor and outdoor with views. Thomas gave us a history of Ireland and Irish Whiskey, and was pleasant to visit with throughout. Great vibe and warm hospitality, you won’t be disappointed!

I've visited O Carroll's Cove a few times for food and just drinks. All experiences were second to none with friendly staff and management very hands on. I have been there recently where by larger parties did arrive unannounced (some not in the bestvof shape) and had it not been for the professional team in the restaurant many of us already enjoying our meal would have left. The staff and the management difussed what could have had a negative experience for families already present in a polite manner

I will most certainly be back over the summer

When we first entered the staff were very unwelcoming. We were asked to have one drink and leave even though we had just entered. Some of us were even denied certain drinks. Would not recommend. A place to avoid!

Thank you for your comments.
You must be mistaken for another establishment or maybe you cannot rightly remember your visit to O'Carrolls Cove.
I do recall a group recently and i can only presume you are a part of that group that was asked to leave due to misbehaviour on out deck area.
You will recall the incident and you will recall that some of your group were quite embarrassed with the bad behaviour of other members of the group.
Thank you again.

Had a lovely meal with my family while holidaying in the area. Fantastic food, friendly welcome and beautiful setting for a long summer's evening right on the beach. If you're in the area check it out!
