Today we went on a tour with this company. Our guide was Maarten, he was very cheerful, had knowledge about the island and the things we saw and a good spirit overall.
The tour itself was really doable. We were away for approximately 8 hours, from which 6 were walking.
We did some nice sightseeing, had some reindeer encounters and had some great warm-up meals.

The puppies were really adorable, I actually wanted to take one home. they ranged from a month to a few months old.
Though in my opinions the cafes were a bit too small, it looked like the dogs had a great time.

Overall I would really recommend this tour for everyone who loves nature and hiking. The trip is not really hard, though you may need some basic level of fitness to do it.

Thank Tom H

I did three different excursions with Green dog during my stay in longyearbyen and they were all very nice with great guides with good local knowledge and good english (they were not from Norway). I give them my best recommendations!

We did the dog sledging on wheels tour. The dogs were cute, friendly and strong. Due to the heat, e had to stop several times to water the dogs and to give them water to drink. We also visited the pups.

It was summer but that is no excuse not to go dog sledding. Longyearbyen was great all round but this was the highlight. Extremely well organised from the pick-up at the hotel through supply of protection gear to coffee and brandy (yes!) afterwards. The sledding experience allowed us complete control of the team of dogs and was amazing. Cuddling the new-born huskies was almost as good. The dogs were all incredibly friendly and that tells its own story. Highly recommended.

Had never believed that dog sledging could be so fun during summer. It was great ! We were picked up at the hotel and taken 10 km outside longyearbyen. There we were allowed to hook the dogs into the dogsled ourselves. 2 people in each sled. 7 dogs. Good 2 hours sledging was great! Kids loved it. Hard to get them away from the place. They were also allowed to hold the puppies and pat as many dogs they were able to (250 dogs is a handful). The dogs were as friendly as they were hard working. Our guide was excellent. Can recommend!
