We ate here twice, once for lunch and then again for dinner. Lunch was no problem. The menu isn't large, but the food was good. Dinner is an issue. If you want to come here for dinner, try to get a reservation ahead of time. We did not have one, but someone had just left, so they gave us their table. The food was interesting and different. We even tried some Minke Whale 8-0, but it was good and they are not endangered...

We came for dinner one night. Everything looked good but we ordered the pizza and wished we hadn't. It wasn't very good at all--crust was bready and not flavorful. All the other food that came out looked great and the dessert was divine. Unfortunately, they had limited vegetarian options so I only had one option other than pizza. But the burgers and meat dishes all looked good. My husband wished he had sampled something else.

This restaurant had a very interesting style and atmoshphere, but the food was expensive and uninteresting. The beer here was the most expensive we drank while in Longyearbyen. The staff was friendly but disorganized. Dinner at Kroa was not a bad experience, but there are much more exciting choices you can make while staying and dining in Longyearbyen.

Ate here twice for lunch & dinner. Very good selection but soups and burgers substantial and filling. Good choice of ales and wines too.

Kroa has a great and varied menu, but my favorite part is probably the atmosphere. We tried a few different restaurants in Longyearbyen, but always came back to Kroa.
