We had a lovely break, welcomed and looked after wonderfully by Sue throughout. The room and en-suite were excellently appointed, clean and comfortable. We were also treated to a generous fire in the lounge with our books and the telly!
Sue's breakfast and local knowledge were faultless, and we are already recommending The Pirate House to our friends.

We arrived to a very warm welcome from the wonderful Sue, who immediately made us feel right at home. Within a few minutes we had lit a log fire and were enjoying our immaculately kept, while very homely and comfortable, private lounge. The bedroom and large en suite were both kept to an equally excellent standard of cleanliness and provided luxurious comfort, with the Juliette balcony, chandeliers and handmade bed providing a very classy feel more commonly associated with a hotel. The breakfast is quite justifiably award winning, with a wide range of cooked dishes (catering well for special dietary requirements) and a vast spread of other delicious goodies. The kitchen, as with all the other rooms, was beautifully clean and very welcoming and was a pleasant place to eat breakfast as we looked out into the garden. The thing which impressed me most however, was the local knowledge of our host. She suggested several walks and places to visit and every time she was spot on. It was because of this that we really made the most of our stay and had a fantastic weekend break. Absolutely faultless, thank you Sue. Jack and Rosie, Cambridge

My husband and I stayed for just one night at this lovely Bed and Breakfast, we were unfortunately attending a family funeral so it was a rather rushed and strange visit. John and Sue made us feel extremely welcome the whole house is beautifully decorated and the guest room and en-suite are a-kin to a very smart hotel. The bed gave us one of the best nights sleep we had had in a long time, and all amenities one could need were provided in the room including a jug of fresh drinking water. The bath room (with a large shower) was clean and again all the little bits you often forget when travelling were provided. Breakfast was ordered the night before (we opted for full English) and taken in the stunning south facing kitchen, this was a lovely touch as we could chat to Sue whilst she prepared our breakfast and there were no awkward silences to be had or any waiting for things to be cleared and served. The food was perfectly cook and tasted amazing (John had obviously enjoyed the task of sourcing the best local produce!)

We hope to visit again under different circumstances and hopefully then we will have th time to enjoy the private lounge and log fire!!

Recently stayed for a few nights in Sue and John's beautiful home - we would recommend this place to anyone seeking a little peace and luxury. Friendly and relaxed, immaculately clean - a few minutes from wonderful walks - what more could you want? The added bonus is the lovely big bed that not all b & b's provide!

After a long jouney we arrived at Pirates to a very warm welcome from Sue. We were visiting family in nearby cromer. Our room was delightfull, well furnished and with a large modern ensuite. Everything has been carefully thought about to make our stay perfect. We slept well and enjoyed the lovely breakfasts Sue prepared for us, and it was great to have a chat with her and john each day, We are looking forward to our next trip to see the family and hopefully we will be staying at Pirates.
