Having decided to start working our way through the food venues in Southwold and seeing good on-line reviews we decided to try Coasters. The restaurant is quite small & simply furnished but the food was very good and there was a suitable choice of wines plus a welcome selection of Adnams bottled ales. Of note were the Tempura Prawns with sweet chilli, dressed Cromer Crab with new potatos & salad, Mackerel pate, Smoked Chicken and Monk Fish. The white Rioja was crisp with good fruit. We will certainly return to this particular venue!

This is a really nice place if you want a special dinner but not too formal. The food's great with some excellent seafood but plenty of other options also. Very good, pleasant service - in terms of price, not cheap but not overly expensive either. Nicely done out with atmospheric lighting but not formal or fussy. Would definitely recommend.

We decided to stay in Southwold and eat an early supper before travelling back home. Although we were told they were fully booked at 6pm we offered a table in the courtyard. We had a lovely meal, served by efficient unobtrusive staff. We shall return.

We had a lovely lunch here. We did not arrive here until just after 2pm on a sunday and food orders had to be given by 2.15. The menu has something for anyone and all of the food is fresh and home cooked and is very tasty. There is an outside seating area and there are limited tables inside. There is a good selection of Adnams real ale in bottles along with a good selection of wine spirit and soft drinks to choose from. The staff are friendly and helpful. We did not have to wait long for the food to arrive .Well worth a visit. We would eat there again.
