Description: Situated in the charming hamlet of Chatham Green, The Windmill is a beautiful, real drinking pub, combining outstanding food with a selection of real ales, cocktails and an extensive wine list. Now in the care of Mick and Lydia Binnington, The Windmill has been sympathetically refurbished to maintain its character and original features including the lovely floor to ceiling oak beams. A seasonal menu in our relaxed, cosy restaurant offers elegant, simple food sourced from the best produce from around the local area, paired with a friendly and efficient service.

I've eaten there twice and can't wait to eat again. Once was with another couple and the second time was a family Sunday lunch. Best food I've eaten in this area for a long time.

We have been to the Windmill on 2 occasions over the last month with different friends and it just gets better. We all had different dishes and they were all superb along with the service. Front of house is excellent and on both nights we had a great time.
Once again well done team Windmill

Each time we come the food doesn't disappoint, nor does the service and level of attention. Favourite dishes include the omelette Arnold Bennett, pea and mint soup and Mac n cheese.

Traditional pub food with a chef twist and always high quality.

Visited this restaurant a few weeks ago and had a brilliant lunch. The scotch egg starter was delicious, husband had the soup with crispy egg which was an experience in itself, and the fish and chips were done absolutely perfectly. Would highly recommend this place for a memorable meal.

We're lucky enough to live within walking distance of this lovely restaurant, so tend to visit every week or two. The food and service are consistently excellent, and indeed the restaurant has just been awarded a "Bib Gourmand" in the 2019 Michelin Guide. The award is well-deserved, even more so when you consider the restaurant only opened just over a year ago. Chef-patrons Mick and Lydia have transformed this country pub into a unique restaurant which still retains a traditional bar. The menu is short, reflecting the small size of the restaurant and the insistence on freshly-cooked high quality ingredients. The wine list offers a well-considered selection. We'll be back!
