Absolutely immaculate room and bathroom. Brand new and super stylish bathroom. Fantastic value for money and wonderful staff. Great selection of gins in the bar as well. Superb beach front central location. Will definitely return. Knocks the Seven and Roslin out the park!

First lunch out today at the Camelia on the seafront near Thorpe Bay and it was absolutely lovely. The staff were all very friendly and able to offer advice on the menu strict regulations were adhered to re Covid and we felt very comfortable. There was a lot on offer from small plates to main meals including burgers fish and chips and chicken Milanese. We all decided on the small plates and we were not disappointed sharing 3 plates between each couple with a side of cheesy garlic bread and chips. Dishes ordered were Thai fish cakes, tempura prawns, salt and pepper squid, buttermilk chicken and baked brie. These were accompanied with delicious garnishes. The small plates were £8 each or three for £20 and mains were around £15.
Between the four of us we had 6 small
plates, 2 portions of cheesy garlic bread and chips, we also had 2 gin and tonics, 2
Spiced rum and coke, 4 beers and a lovely bottle of red plus one ice cream sundae a lovely way to finish the meal and all for £130 plus service charge. Thank you Camelia for a lovely meal.

Thank you very much for posting a review of your visit for lunch on our decking. We are so pleased that you all enjoyed your meal and accompanying drinks. This is a new menu for the re-opening and it is good to know that you were happy with what we offer. It is lovely for us to see people on our premises again and we hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future. We have been busy during lockdown and made a lot of changes to our restaurant and bar ready for welcoming guests inside again from the 17th May, all being well.

My niece and I stayed here for one night. We had a sea view room, the ensuite was great, comfy bed. The Camelia is a friendly, cosy hotel and we felt "safe" with the covid rules. Fab time will go back
